In Mexico, I could follow the dire and courageous explorations of the La Venta cavers team, who explored the Cueva del Los Cristales, deep in a mine in Mexico (with photographer Paolo Petrignani). The cave was a unique environment composed of huge moonstone crystals but is now returned on its natural state of filled by almost boiling water.
In the island of Palawan, Philippines, I reported with La Venta cavers deep inside the largest and longest navigable cave of the world.
In Italy, I reported to GEO magazine about the use of cave rock formations to infer ancient climates.
For Science magazine, I reported on the use of use of cave rock formations to infer ancient climates.
