2016 I received a grant from the Earth Journalism Network which allowed me to report on the reconstruction and open issues after the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal. I found out that only few of the people displaced in temporary camps were allocated to new homes. Campsites were turning into slums, where teenager had just 1,5 square meters where to study, dream, sleep. There were some attempts, chiefly driven by external fundings and ONGs to experiment on earthquake-resistant homes. I also met with psychologists in Kathmandu, who told me about shocks in children and adults as a result of the earthquake. The big question now to be solved is, in a highly earthquake prone region like Nepal, is the nation better prepared to a future earthquake?

Reports published in Corriere del Ticino, and Italian editions of Wired, National Geographic and Observador (Portugal).
